Analysis: According to ESPN, Taylor's lung was accidentally punctured by a team doctor administrating a pain-killing injection prior to last week's game against the Chiefs. The veteran quarterback was going to play through cracked ribs he suffered against the Bengals in Week 1. Herbert performed well in Taylor's place against Kansas City and could further make a case to be the Chargers' starting quarterback with another strong showing.
